Living without Borders
Being a global nomad has become a popular phenomenon especially in recent decades. Although many people think that it has several drawbacks for an individual, I strongly believe that its benefits outnumber the drawbacks. Primarily, when one has to live in a different country, s/he meets a variety of new culture, people, and ways of life. Therefore, his/her awareness of differences increases gradually. This also broadens the horizon of a person and makes that person more tolerant and respectful. Furthermore, living in a foreign country teaches a lot of survival strategies to a nomad. Yes, facing difficulties is an inevitable part of being a global nomad. However, more importantly, they teach how to overcome those troubles easily and successfully by turning a crisis into an opportunity. In this way, problem-solving skills of a person improve to a great extent. Last but not the least, contributions to one's work life are undeniable. Experiencing a new environment not only develops an individual business network but also helps him/her notice gaps in the market and leads his/her business life accordingly. This will benefit both the individual and the society. Taking all benefits into account, it can be claimed that being a global nomad can be the best thing one has ever experienced.

A Smarter Home
Smart living is becoming more popular and more people are building smart homes. One example is me from Turkey. I am building a three-bedroom town house for my family and I want to make the house as intelligent as possible.
I plan to use only green electricity. I am going to put a wind turbine on the roof to make electricity and I am going to use solar panels to make electricity.
There aren't going to be the usual safety features: there are going to be fingerprint locks to enter the house and there are going to be security lights on the outside.
The inside of the house, isn't going to be like a traditional house either. I am planning to save electricity. Instead of normal lights, I am going to use automatic lighting so that when no one is in the room, the lights will switch off automatically. The fridge is going to be controlled by a computer and tell my family when they need to go shopping. Are we going to go shopping by car? Not in a normal car: we are going to use an electric car and fill it with electricity with a charging point in the garage.
What are we going to do in the evening for entertainment? I have plans to build a sauna next to the garage and have a home-entertainment system to watch films after work.

Doing Homework 2
Homework is an important part of the learning process in middle school. One reason is that homework gives students additional practice of skills covered in class. Middle school classes are too short to teach a new concept and practice it sufficiently for students to master. Students need both guided practice in class and independent practice at home. Another reason for homework is that it provides time to complete longer assignments. For example, the ideal composition process allows time for students to think and to reflect on their ideas, as well as time to revise and to proofread their writing. Also, reports and special projects often require research that can not always be done at school. In addition, since all students do not work at the same speed, giving students time at home to finish work keeps them from falling behind. Finally, the most important reason for homework is that it ensures review. New material and old material are practiced in daily assignments. Students who do their homework daily are prepared for tests and make better grades. In conclusion, not only is homework essential to mastering new skills and maintaining previously learned skills, but it also guarantees constant review and provides time for longer assignments, as well as additional time for students who need it. Students, do your daily homework, make better grades, and learn more!

Doing Homework
Doing homework is one of the most beneficial activities for students because of some reasons. First of all, it encourages individual work because students complete their assignments alone after school. This teaches them responsibility and organization skills. According to a recent research study in 2013, educational scientists found out that there is a strong relationship between doing homework and being a responsible student. the second reason is that doing homework regularly provides practice and practice makes perfect. Doing a lot of practice helps students not only review the newly-learned topics but also explore them fully. Therefore, they get higher grades. In conclusion, homework certainly contributes a great number of abilities to students.

My Best Friend
I want to write about one of my closest friends, Ali. He is a friend of mine from high school and we are at the same age. For me, he is the most amazing guy in the world because he has a lot of abilities and he is knowledgeable about many topics.
First, I would like to describe his personality traits. Ali is a very honest friend; he never tells lies. If I do something wrong, he warns me politely and he always leads me in a good way. He also likes to discover and research. He is usually very enthusiastic about learning and spends his time by surfing on Wikipedia or reading online news. In this way, he gets information about almost every topic. In addition, animals and nature play an important role in his life. He takes care of animals, saves the environment, and protects the nature. Ali also works for a charity and raises money or other kinds of donations for people in need. He really gives importance to others. In short, he is a true friend who always supports me. I know that whenever I am in trouble, he is always there for me.
I miss him too much because he is in the UK now for his studies. So, we are in different countries now. Un fortunately, we can keep in touch only by texting. Every day after class, we text to each other and talk about friends, classes, and so on.
In short, Ali is my best friend forever because he gives me inspiration and makes me a better person.
