Living without Borders
Being a global nomad has become a popular phenomenon especially in recent decades. Although many people think that it has several drawbacks for an individual, I strongly believe that its benefits outnumber the drawbacks. Primarily, when one has to live in a different country, s/he meets a variety of new culture, people, and ways of life. Therefore, his/her awareness of differences increases gradually. This also broadens the horizon of a person and makes that person more tolerant and respectful. Furthermore, living in a foreign country teaches a lot of survival strategies to a nomad. Yes, facing difficulties is an inevitable part of being a global nomad. However, more importantly, they teach how to overcome those troubles easily and successfully by turning a crisis into an opportunity. In this way, problem-solving skills of a person improve to a great extent. Last but not the least, contributions to one's work life are undeniable. Experiencing a new environment not only develops an individual business network but also helps him/her notice gaps in the market and leads his/her business life accordingly. This will benefit both the individual and the society. Taking all benefits into account, it can be claimed that being a global nomad can be the best thing one has ever experienced.
